**Fear Is A Liar**

God tells us not to fear. He knows Satan uses fear to spoil our life, causes us to question our own abilities and limits our accomplishments and victories. The phrase “fear not” is used at least 80 times in the Bible.

Psalm 56:3 (ESV); “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”

Is fear and worry the same? Many people have complete trust in God as far as fear of the future, even fear of a present situation but they appear to worry a lot.

1 Peter 5:7 (ESV); “Casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.”

Fear is defined as: an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

Worry is defined as: give way to anxiety or unease; allow one's mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.

A popular Christian singer, Zach Williams, has a song titled; “Fear Is a Liar”. The title is the theme. Basically, the message is that Satan users fear to make us feel we are not worthy, loved or never strong or smart enough, etc. Then he responds with the statement, “Fear, he is a liar.”

In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
