Wouldn't You Know?

Isn't it interesting what you
did not hear on the news!

Chelsea Clinton Buying $10 Million NYC Apartment

Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc purchased a $10.5 million spread right across the street from Madison Square Park. The apartment is 5,000 square feet and is located in the Whitman Building.
  ~
The unit at 21 E. 26th St. is four bedrooms, with 6 1/2   bathrooms, and the family room has a full view of the park.

The five-story building has one apartment per floor, and a key-locked elevator.  Chelsea, 33, and her husband Marc Mezvinsky, 35, son of Ed Mezvinsky, “lived in the neighborhood and found the building on their own while out walking.”

NOW WHO IS ED MEZVINSKY?
  ~
Edward "Ed" Mezvinsky born January 17, 1937, is a former Democratic congressman.
As a Democrat, he represented Iowa 's 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977.  He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon. He and the Clinton's were very politically intertwined for years.  In March 2001, Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 charges of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud.  He was sentenced to 80 months in (Federal) prison.

Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams.  After serving five years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008. He remained on federal probation through 2011, and still owes $9.4 millionin restitution to his victims.

So who is he?  He's Chelsea Clinton's father-in law. Has anyone heard mention of this in any of the media? If this guy was Jenna or Barbara Bush's, or better yet, Sarah Palin's daughter's, father-in- law, the news would be an every day headline.
Some say there is no double standard in politics. s-u-r-e there isn't!

Hairy Friends

Sick Dog And Orphaned Orangutan
   ~
After losing his parents, this 3 year old orangutan was so
depressed he wouldn't eat and didn't respond to any
medical treatments. The veterinarians thought he would
surely die from sadness.

The zoo keepers found an old sick dog on the
grounds in the park at the zoo where the
orangutan lived and took the dog to the
animal treatment center.

The dog arrived at the same time the
orangutan was there being treated.

The 2 lost souls met and have been inseparable ever since.
The orangutan found a new reason to live and each always
tries his best to be a good companion to his new found friend.
They are together 24 hours a day in all their activities.

They live in Northern California where
swimming is their favorite past time,
although Roscoe (the orangutan) is a little afraid
of the water and needs his friend's help to swim.

Together they have discovered the joy and
laughter in life and the value of friendship.

They have found more than a friendly shoulder to lean on.

Long Live Friendship!
I don't know... some say life is too short,
others say it is too long, but I know that
nothing that we do makes sense if we don't

touch the hearts of others... while it lasts!
May you always have Love to Share,
Health to Spare, and Friends who Care...

even if they are a little hairy at times.

What Kids Say About The Ocean

Children Writing About the Ocean

1) - This is a picture of an octopus. It has eight testicles.
(Kelly, age 6)
  ~
2) - Oysters' balls are called pearls.
(Jerry, age 6)
  ~
3) - If you are surrounded by ocean, you are an island. If you don't have ocean all around you, you are incontinent.
(Mike, age 7)
  ~
4) - Sharks are ugly and mean, and have big teeth, just like Emily Richardson. She's not my friend any more.
(Kylie, age 6)

5) - A dolphin breaths through an asshole on the top of its head.
(Billy, age 8)
  ~
6) - My uncle goes out in his boat with 2 other men and a woman and pots and comes back with crabs.
(Millie, age 6)
  ~
7) - When ships had sails, they used to use the trade winds to cross the ocean. Sometimes when the wind didn't blow the sailors would whistle to make the wind come. My brother said they would have been better off eating beans.
(William, age 7)

8) - Mermaids live in the ocean. I like mermaids. They are beautiful and I  like their shiny tails, but how on earth do mermaids get pregnant? Like, really?
(Helen, age 6)
  ~
9) - I'm not going to write about the ocean. My baby brother is always crying, my Dad keeps yelling at my Mom, and my big sister has just got pregnant, so I can't think what to write.
(Amy, age 6)

10) - Some fish are dangerous. Jellyfish can sting. Electric eels can give you a shock. They have to live in caves under the sea where I think they have to plug themselves into chargers. (Christopher, age 7)
  ~
11) - When you go swimming in the ocean, it is very cold, and it makes my willy small.
(Kevin, age 6)
  ~
12) - Divers have to be safe when they go under the water. Divers can't go down alone, so they have to go down on each other. (Becky, age 8)

13) - On vacation my Mom went water skiing. She fell off when she was going very fast. She says she won't do it again because water fired right up her big fat ass.
(Julie, age 7)
  ~
14) - The ocean is made up of water and fish. Why the fish don't drown I don't know.
(Bobby, age 6)
  ~
15) - My dad was a sailor on the ocean. He knows all about the ocean. What he doesn't know is why he quit being a sailor and married my mom.
(James, age 7)

Enchanted River is found in Philippines. It is called âenchantedâ because no one has ever reached its bottom. Many people, including scuba divers, have tried reaching for the bottom but have failed, hence the legend of its bottomless pit. Moreover, locals share that NOBODY has been successful in catching the fish in this river, whether by hand or by spear. They say its bluish color is a result of its depth and the water clarity changes throughout the day. At around 12:00 pm, the water becomes clearer and even more majestic...

Excellent!

A lesson in irony. Hard to say it better.

  ~
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S.  Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever -- to 46 million people.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S.  Department of the Interior, asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves".

This ends today's lesson.
